We honour and thank all of our youth who have helped in our gardens & harvested our foods! We provide honorariums for our youth for their time & invite them back for any potential opportunities for workshops, learning, or cultural exchanges.

Sgahendade (Justin) Martin
Mohawk Nation, Bear Clan, from the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Justin was a huge part of maintaining the garden over the course of summer 2021. Justin is currently finishing his education at Conestoga College and hopes to one day become a Fire Fighter! Nya:weh Justin for your hard work, dedication, and love of taking care of our seeds & plants! You helped them thrive!

Honihkwiyoh (Nathan) Martin
Bear Clan, Mohawk Nation, from the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Kwiyo is an alumni of Kawenni:io/Gaweni:yo Private School, a language & culture immersion school located on Six Nations. He's enrolled in the Plumbing Technician Diploma at Sheridan College and hopes to one day own & operate his own plumbing business on Six Nations. Kwiyo, Nathan Martin, helped throughout summer 2021-2022 in maintaining the garden and shared the cultural importance of our Haudenosaunee food systems through workshops.
